Cashier for Indian Restaurant in Washington


We are a busy Indian restaurant located in the heart of Washington, seeking a talented and experienced cashier to join our team. As a cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate records of sales and inventory. This is a contract position with the possibility of renewal.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them with their orders
- Process cash and credit card payments accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Keep track of inventory levels and place orders when necessary
- Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
- Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all cash handling procedures and maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and health standards

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine is an asset but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month for this position.
