Sous Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are currently seeking a skilled and creative Sous Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Bansko, catering to a diverse clientele with a passion for Indian cuisine. As the Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff training.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in an upscale restaurant or hotel
- Excellent knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Degree or certificate in culinary arts is preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in creating innovative menus that reflect the tastes and preferences of our guests
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high quality and consistency
- Oversee inventory control, ordering, and receiving of food supplies
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination during events or special occasions
