Preservation Architect
We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect for a contract position in Kaunas, Lithuania. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures to their original state while adhering to modern building codes and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation and restoration work
- Developing plans, designs, and specifications for preservation projects while considering the historical significance of the structure
- Working closely with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that preservation work is completed accurately and efficiently
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for preservation projects
- Managing budgets and timelines for preservation projects
- Monitoring construction progress and addressing any issues that may arise during the preservation process
- Conducting research on historical styles, materials, and construction techniques to inform preservation work
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural preservation or restoration work
- Extensive knowledge of historical styles, materials, and construction techniques
- Experience working with biometric passports preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict historical guidelines while also meeting modern building codes and standards
Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of 1800$ per month.
