Civil Engineer - Construction Management Specialist
Location: Svalbard, Norway


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Svalbard. As a Construction Management Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and completion. Your expertise in civil engineering, combined with your project management skills, will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee construction projects from conception to completion
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project plans and designs
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements
- Monitor progress of construction projects and make necessary adjustments to stay on schedule and within budget
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and procurement processes
- Communicate with stakeholders including clients, government agencies, contractors, and suppliers
- Identify potential risks or issues that may affect the project timeline or budget and develop contingency plans
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or related role
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods
- Experience managing budgets and contracts for large-scale projects
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid work permit for Svalbard
