Cashier at a Boutique Hotel in Funchal, Madeira


We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at a boutique hotel in Funchal, Madeira. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all financial transactions and providing exceptional customer service to guests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out processes
- Process payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain an organized cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, exchanges, etc.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of basic math calculations and money handling procedures
- Familiarity with computerized cash register systems is an asset
