Typesetter

As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for arranging and setting type for various print and digital publications. This includes selecting the appropriate font, size, spacing, and layout to ensure readability and visual appeal. You will also be responsible for proofreading and making necessary corrections to ensure accuracy and consistency in typography.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with editors, designers, and production teams to understand project requirements
- Select appropriate fonts, sizes, and styles based on project specifications
- Arrange text in a visually appealing manner while maintaining readability
- Edit and proofread text to ensure accuracy in spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Make necessary formatting adjustments based on design changes or client feedback
- Collaborate with designers to incorporate images, charts, and other graphics into layouts
- Stay updated on new typography trends and techniques to enhance the quality of work

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Proficient in using typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong understanding of typography principles including font pairing, hierarchy, spacing, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors in text
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively
- Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or relevant field (preferred)

Salary: $1400 per month (without accommodation)
Location: La-Condamine (Monaco)
