Instrument Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Nairobi. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments used in industrial and commercial settings. This includes troubleshooting issues, conducting tests and inspections, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical circuitry and possess excellent problem-solving skills. This position offers a salary of 1800$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of instruments including gauges, meters, sensors, and controllers.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues or malfunctions.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems with electrical circuitry.
- Repair or replace faulty components as needed.
- Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer specifications.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuitry and instrumentation principles.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or certification in a related field.
- Previous experience working with biometric passports is a plus.
