We are seeking a highly organized and dedicated Contract Librarian to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library collection, providing reference services to patrons, and developing educational programs and activities. This is a contract position with a salary of 1100$ per month and accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library collection by selecting, acquiring, cataloging, and classifying materials
- Provide reference services to patrons by assisting with research inquiries and locating resources
- Develop educational programs and activities for all age groups to promote literacy and lifelong learning
- Maintain accurate records of circulation statistics and library usage data
- Ensure the library is organized and presentable at all times
- Stay updated on current trends in the library field and implement new technologies or services as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Proficient in computer systems and technology used in libraries
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
