Job Title: Librarian


We are currently hiring for a full-time Librarian to join our team in Almada. As a Librarian, you will play a crucial role in managing and organizing the library resources, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting a love for reading and learning within the community.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the library, including cataloging, acquisitions, and circulation of materials.
- Assist patrons with locating materials and conducting research.
- Plan and implement engaging programs and events to promote literacy and education.
- Develop collections that cater to the diverse needs of the community.
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and perform inventory checks regularly.
- Train library staff on proper procedures for handling materials and assisting patrons.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and coordinate educational programs for all age levels.
- Stay updated on current trends in literature, technology, and library services.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Proven experience working as a Librarian or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of library systems, cataloging techniques, and reference resources.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Proficient in using computer applications such as Microsoft Office and online databases.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).

Salary: $1100 per month
