Head Pastry Chef
Our growing bakery in Beer-Sheva is seeking an experienced and creative Head Pastry Chef to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry and a proven track record of creating delicious and visually appealing desserts. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of our pastries, training and mentoring junior pastry chefs, creating new menu items, and ensuring quality control. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$ per month.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a pastry chef in a high-volume bakery or restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of various baking techniques and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team
- Creativity and an eye for detail to create visually stunning desserts
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Fluent in English (Hebrew would be an advantage)
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities:
- Create new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee the production of pastries, ensuring they meet our high standards for taste and presentation
- Train, supervise, and mentor junior pastry chefs, providing guidance on techniques and recipes
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of supplies
- Conduct regular quality control checks on all pastries produced
- Develop relationships with local suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
