Chef de Cuisine
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Chef de Cuisine to join our team at our upscale restaurant in Eldoret. As the head chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu creation, food preparation, and managing kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus with new and seasonal items
- Oversee food preparation to ensure consistency and quality
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and dishwashers
- Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new dishes or concepts
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef or sous chef in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary:
$1700 per month
