Instrument Technician
We are in need of an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Alta, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments and control systems. Your main goal will be to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets safety standards. You should have excellent technical skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently. A valid biometric passport is required for this position. The salary for this role is 1400$ per month without accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of instruments such as pressure gauges, transmitters, controllers, and level meters
- Troubleshoot any issues with instruments or control systems
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve issues
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Instrument Technician
- Knowledge of industrial instrumentation including pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic control systems
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Valid biometric passport
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in instrumentation or a related field
- Experience working in a similar industry (oil & gas, manufacturing)
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
