Biometric Passport Instrument Technician
City: Copenhagen, Denmark
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biometric Passport Instrument Technician to join our team in Copenhagen. As the Biometric Passport Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing biometric passport equipment to ensure its accuracy and functionality. This is a contract job with a salary of 1700$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance on biometric passport equipment including scanners, printers and software systems
- Troubleshoot and identify issues with equipment and provide timely repairs to minimize downtime
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and accuracy
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately for record keeping purposes
- Train new technicians on the operation and maintenance of biometric passport equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an instrument technician, preferably in the biometrics or security industry
- Knowledge of biometric technology and systems, specifically related to passports or identification documents
- Strong technical skills in electronics, mechanics, and computer software/hardware systems
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience working with biometric passport equipment from major manufacturers such as Gemalto or Thales Group
