Preservation Architect
Our architectural firm in Bergen is seeking a talented Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. Your role will involve conducting research, developing preservation plans, and overseeing the restoration process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in preservation architecture
- In-depth knowledge of historic preservation principles and techniques
- Experience working with local building codes and regulations
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on historic buildings and structures
- Developing preservation plans that adhere to local laws and regulations
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the restoration process
- Overseeing the restoration work to ensure it stays true to the original design and materials used
- Preparing drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects
Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Location: Bergen (ability to work remotely may be considered)
