Head Chef - Alta, Norway
As a Head Chef at our restaurant in Alta, Norway, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations. This includes managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff, creating and updating menus, ordering and managing inventory, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently served to our guests.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Experience with Nordic cuisine is preferred
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to create new dishes and update menus according to seasonal ingredients
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, budgets, and schedules
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Norwegian is an asset)
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating a positive work environment for your team by providing guidance, training, and support. You will also work closely with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
