Formworker
As a Formworker, you will be responsible for creating and installing temporary structures used to hold poured concrete in place during construction projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical strength and stamina, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. You will work closely with other construction professionals such as carpenters and concrete workers to ensure that the formwork is properly aligned and secured. Additionally, you may be responsible for pouring and finishing concrete as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut lumber to specified dimensions using hand or power tools
- Assemble temporary structures according to blueprints and instructions
- Secure formwork in place using nails, screws, clamps, or bolts
- Pour concrete into formwork and smooth surface using trowels or screeds
- Remove formwork once concrete has set and clean up site
- Inspect formwork for defects or damage and make repairs as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols on site
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical strength and stamina for lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Attention to detail for precise measurements and alignment of formwork
- Previous experience as a carpenter, construction laborer, or similar role preferred but not required
Location: Acre, Canada (Preference for Canadian citizens or those eligible to work in Canada)
Salary: $1400/month (Negotiable based on experience)
