Indian Cuisine Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Cuisine Chef to join our team in Shan, China. As an Indian Cuisine Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing high-quality dishes that showcase the diverse flavors and techniques of Indian cuisine. This position requires a deep understanding of traditional Indian ingredients, cooking methods, and flavor profiles.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare a variety of authentic Indian dishes with creativity and attention to detail.
- Manage inventory, order supplies and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meets our standards.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff members.
- Monitor food costs and maintain budget.
- Develop new menu items based on seasonality and availability of ingredients.
- Collaborate with other chefs to create innovative dishes that appeal to a diverse clientele.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Indian Cuisine Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting.
- Proficient in preparing a variety of Indian dishes including curries, tandoori, biryani, naan bread etc.
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to train and motivate kitchen staff.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Food safety certification required.
- Fluent in English with good communication skills.
Salary: 1000$ per month
Location: Shan, China
Nationality: Preference for Indian nationals or individuals with extensive experience in Indian cuisine. However, all qualified applicants will be considered.
