Executive Chef - Filipino/Nepali Cuisine (English Speaking)
We are a high-end restaurant located in the vibrant city of Shan, seeking an experienced Executive Chef with expertise in Filipino and Nepali cuisine. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, creating menus, training and managing our kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth operation of the kitchen.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Expertise in Filipino and Nepali cuisine
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Creative and able to develop new menu items
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that showcase the unique flavors of Filipino and Nepali cuisine, while also considering dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Train and manage kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, portion control, plating presentation, and safety procedures.
- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen including ordering supplies, managing inventory, scheduling shifts, and ensuring quality control.
- Maintain high standards of food quality by regularly inspecting ingredients for freshness and taste.
- Ensure compliance with all health codes and regulations.
- Create new dishes or variations on existing ones based on seasonal ingredients or customer feedback.
- Collaborate with management to develop marketing strategies to promote our restaurant's signature dishes.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1700$.
