Junior Developer



We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Developer to join our team in Svalbard. As a Junior Developer, you will work closely with our experienced developers to design, develop, and maintain software applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to break into the tech industry.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of software solutions by coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs
- Collaborate with senior developers to design efficient and effective software solutions
- Follow best practices for coding standards and participate in code reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in the industry

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and principles
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Familiarity with database management systems (SQL or NoSQL)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills

Bonus Skills:
- Experience with web development technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
- Knowledge of agile methodologies
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Project management experience

Salary:
This is an entry-level position with a starting salary of $1800 per month. This salary may be negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

We are open to providing visa sponsorship for the right candidate.

Location:
This position is located in Svalbard, an archipelago situated between Norway and the North Pole. While this location is preferred, remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates.
