Indian Pastry Chef - Salalah, Oman
We are seeking a skilled and creative Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in Salalah, Oman. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries for our restaurant. Your main duties will include preparing ingredients, baking and decorating pastries, and maintaining a clean and organized pastry kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new pastry recipes that reflect the traditional flavors of India
- Prepare ingredients for pastry making such as dough, fillings, toppings, etc.
- Bake and decorate various types of pastries, including cakes, cookies, pies, and breads
- Ensure all pastry items are presented in an attractive manner with attention to detail
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate dessert orders with main dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train new employees on pastry making techniques and recipes
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian desserts and pastries
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: 1500$ per month (tax-free) + accommodation + transportation + other benefits.
