Mason for Construction Company in Esbjerg, Denmark
Are you a skilled and experienced Mason looking for a new challenge? Our construction company in Esbjerg, Denmark is seeking a talented individual to join our team.
As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing brick or stone structures according to blueprints and specifications. You will use various tools and techniques to lay and bind building materials, such as bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and other materials. You will also be expected to collaborate with other construction workers and follow safety protocols.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in masonry work and possess strong knowledge of building materials, tools, and techniques. We are looking for someone who is physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. A biometric passport is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints or drawings to determine materials needed and layout of structure
- Measure and cut materials to required specifications
- Lay out patterns or foundations using straightedge, rule or staked lines
- Mix mortar or grout according to standard formulas
- Spread mortar between bricks or stones using trowel
- Remove excess mortar with trowels or hand tools
- Replace broken or missing masonry units or fill holes or cracks with grout
- Clean working area after completion of job
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry (minimum 3 years)
- Strong knowledge of building materials, tools, and techniques used in masonry work
- Ability to read blueprints or drawings accurately
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish language skills are a plus)
