Part-Time Maintenance Carpenter


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our team in Svalbard. As a Part-Time Maintenance Carpenter, you will be responsible for completing various carpentry tasks to maintain and improve our facilities. This is a part-time position, ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the field while also having time for other commitments.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general carpentry tasks such as measuring, cutting, and installing wood structures
- Repair and replace damaged or worn-out wooden fixtures
- Install new doors, windows, and other carpentry items
- Maintain and repair wooden furniture, cabinets, and shelves
- Follow blueprints and building plans to ensure accurate measurements and construction
- Inspect existing structures for any damages or potential safety hazards
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently

Requirements:
- Previous experience in carpentry preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and follow building plans
- Detail-oriented with strong measurement skills
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment

Salary: $900 per month (based on 20 hours per week)

Location: Svalbard (accommodation provided)
