Part-Time Preservation Architect

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis in Oslo. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while maintaining their original design and character. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for architectural preservation and a desire to work on a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historic buildings and structures to determine their original design and construction techniques
- Create preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines
- Perform site surveys, document existing conditions, and develop drawings for restoration projects
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the safe execution of restoration work
- Monitor the progress of restoration projects and make adjustments as needed
- Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations on preservation projects
- Stay updated on current preservation practices and techniques

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Previous experience in architectural preservation preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and historical styles
- Familiarity with local preservation laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other drafting software
