Executive Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Chef to join our team in Porto. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations including menu planning, food preparation and presentation, inventory management, and staff training and development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create innovative menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and vision
- Ensure the highest quality of food is consistently delivered to customers
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in all aspects of food preparation, cooking techniques, and sanitation practices
- Manage inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are maintained while minimizing waste
- Monitor and control food costs to meet budget targets
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to create unique and visually appealing dishes while maintaining high quality standards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Biometric passport or eligibility to work in Portugal
- Experience working with international cuisine is a plus
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
