Computer Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Computer Support Specialist to join our IT team in Aarhus. As a Computer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees and customers. This includes installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computer hardware, software, and networks. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and possess strong problem-solving skills. Accommodation and visa sponsorship can be provided for non-local candidates. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$ per month.

As a Computer Support Specialist, your duties will include:

- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, and networks according to company policies
- Providing technical support to employees and customers via phone, email, or in-person
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues to identify the root cause
- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware components as needed
- Maintaining inventory of computer equipment and supplies
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as updates, virus scans, and backups
- Collaborating with other IT team members to resolve complex issues
- Documenting all technical procedures and solutions for future reference

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Computer Support Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of computer hardware components such as processors, RAM, hard drives, etc.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, MacOS) and networking concepts
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues quickly
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

- A degree in computer science or related field
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
- Experience with remote desktop control software and ticketing systems
- Familiarity with basic coding languages such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
