Welder


We are hiring a skilled Welder to join our team in Almada. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques. You must have experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. The ideal candidate will also have experience in operating various welding equipment and hand tools. Accommodation is provided for non-local candidates, and visa sponsorship is available. As a Welder, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of your work meets industry standards and specifications. You will work with a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, and other alloys. Experience with metal cutting tools such as saws, plasma cutters, or oxy-acetylene torches is preferred.

To excel in this role, you must have excellent attention to detail and possess physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials. You must also have good hand-eye coordination and be able to work well independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Select appropriate welding techniques based on project requirements
- Set up welding equipment including gas cylinders, electrodes, or wires
- Operate hand tools such as grinders or chisels to prepare metal surfaces for welding
- Use various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality control
- Repair any defects or mistakes in welds
- Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing regular maintenance checks

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in welding
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Familiarity with operating various welding equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred:
- Experience with metal cutting tools such as saws, plasma cutters, or oxy-acetylene torches
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or construction setting
