Smelter Operator



As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used in the smelting process. This role requires physical strength and dexterity, as well as attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. You will work with a team to melt, purify, and shape metals into various forms for use in manufacturing and construction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate smelting equipment, such as furnaces, crucibles, and ladles
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and other gauges to ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Add materials to the smelting process according to specified procedures
- Control the flow of molten metal into molds or other forms
- Use hand tools or machinery to remove impurities from metal surfaces
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Follow safety procedures at all times and wear appropriate protective gear

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (technical diploma preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in a smelting facility
- Strong understanding of metallurgy principles and processes
- Physical strength and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work in hot environments for extended periods of time
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or certificate in metallurgy or related field
- Previous experience operating specific smelting equipment
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Malayalam)

Salary: $1800 per month
