Sous Chef
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at our restaurant in Faro. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, creating delicious and high-quality dishes, and maintaining a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role, strong leadership skills, and a passion for culinary excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create menus that are innovative and appealing
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper techniques and procedures
- Ensure all food meets quality standards and is presented attractively
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support team members
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and creativity in preparing dishes
- Ability to work well under pressure
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred
Salary: 1700$ per month
