Pastry Chef - Abu Dhabi



A luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative dessert menus, overseeing pastry production, and ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and visually appealing dessert menus that consistently meet the highest standards of taste and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of pastry production, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff to ensure consistency in recipes and techniques
- Collaborate with other chefs to create new menu items that incorporate seasonal ingredients and current food trends
- Maintain knowledge of current food safety standards and ensure compliance throughout all aspects of pastry production
- Manage cost control by closely monitoring food waste, portion sizes, and inventory levels
- Continuously research new techniques and trends in pastry making to enhance our offerings
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various dessert techniques, including cake decorating, chocolate work, sugar pulling, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate junior staff
- Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Fluent English communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
