Pastry Chef - Alta, Norway
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in the beautiful city of Alta, Norway. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our dessert menu, as well as assisting with other pastry items for the main dining menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute innovative and visually appealing dessert options for our menu.
- Prepare and present all pastry items according to established recipes and plating standards.
- Maintain high levels of quality control and consistency in all pastry products.
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff, ensuring they adhere to proper techniques and standards.
- Manage inventory and ordering of all necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining establishment.
- Extensive knowledge of various pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate junior staff.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Salary: $1000 per week (negotiable based on experience)
