Head Chef
Location: Vejle, Denmark
We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at our upscale restaurant in Vejle, Denmark. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that are both innovative and profitable
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standard and presented in an appealing manner
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks accordingly
- Train new employees on cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor food inventory and place orders when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Develop relationships with local suppliers for sourcing fresh ingredients
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per week along with additional benefits such as paid vacation time and health insurance.
