Preservation Architect

As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical structures and buildings in the city of Aarhus. You will work closely with local authorities, preservation societies, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that these structures are maintained in accordance with historical preservation standards. This is a part-time position suitable for students or individuals without prior experience in the field. As this job does not include accommodation or visa sponsorship, preference will be given to candidates who already have the necessary authorization to work in Aarhus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough research on historical buildings and structures to understand their architectural significance
- Collaborating with local authorities and preservation societies to develop restoration plans that comply with historical preservation guidelines
- Inspecting and assessing the condition of historical buildings, identifying areas in need of repair or restoration
- Preparing detailed drawings and designs for restoration projects
- Overseeing the construction process and ensuring that all work is carried out according to approved plans and specifications
- Maintaining accurate records of all work completed on historical structures
- Providing guidance and advice to property owners on how to properly maintain their historical buildings

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Knowledge of architectural history, building materials, construction techniques, and historic preservation principles
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings and designs
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within strict deadlines
- Experience working with local authorities or preservation societies is preferred but not required

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.
