Preservation Architect


We are seeking a talented and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Aarhus. In this role, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, ensuring that they maintain their architectural integrity while also meeting modern building codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings to determine necessary preservation and restoration measures
- Develop preservation plans that balance historic significance with functionality and safety
- Collaborate with engineers, construction workers, and other professionals to ensure successful execution of preservation projects
- Source and select appropriate materials for restoration work
- Monitor and inspect ongoing restoration projects to ensure quality and adherence to preservation standards
- Prepare detailed reports on the condition of historical buildings and provide recommendations for necessary maintenance or repairs

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation or conservation work
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and standards related to historical structures
- Experience with AutoCAD or other architectural design software
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Historic Preservation or Conservation Architecture
- Experience working on international projects
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles
- Ability to communicate effectively in Danish or another Scandinavian language

We offer a competitive salary package of $1600 per month, along with accommodation assistance for international candidates. Visa sponsorship may also be provided for the right candidate.
