Industrial Alpinist



As an Industrial Alpinist, you will be responsible for performing various tasks at extreme heights in industrial settings such as construction sites, oil rigs, and power plants. Your main duty will be to provide rope access services to reach difficult-to-access areas and perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections. You may also be required to assist with rigging and lifting heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize specialized climbing techniques to access and work at high altitudes
- Conduct site assessments to determine the appropriate equipment and techniques needed for each job
- Set up rope systems and perform safety checks before starting work
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on structures and equipment at height
- Assist with rigging and lifting operations as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a safe working environment
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards while on the job
- Keep accurate records of work performed and report any issues or hazards immediately

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial alpinism or a related field such as rock climbing or rope access
- Valid certification in industrial alpinism or relevant training (e.g. IRATA, SPRAT)
- Physically fit with excellent balance, coordination, and strength
- Comfortable working at extreme heights in all weather conditions
- Knowledge of rope access techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to read technical drawings and use hand tools effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills both verbal and written

Salary: 1800$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Fonvieille (accommodation provided)
