Welder

Salary: $1100 USD/month
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks according to specifications and industry standards. You will work with a range of materials including steel, aluminum, and other metals to fabricate and repair metal structures and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine the specifications of the project
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using tools such as rulers, squares, or templates
- Cut metal components using manual or automated processes such as saws or plasma cutters
- Weld components in various positions (flat, vertical, or overhead) using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality control
- Repair damaged metal structures and equipment by cutting out damaged sections and replacing them with new pieces
- Operate specialized machinery such as bending machines or hydraulic presses to shape metal components
- Maintain welding equipment by cleaning, inspecting, and repairing it as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder with a minimum of 2 years in welding techniques (MIG/TIG/ARC)
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of metal properties and how they react during the welding process
- Familiarity with safety procedures and practices in a welding environment
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in various positions for extended periods of time
- High attention to detail with strong hand-eye coordination skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Own visa/work permit for Kenya is required
