Preservation Architect



The Preservation Architect will play a crucial role in preserving the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Faro, Portugal. They will be responsible for researching, assessing, and documenting historic buildings and structures to ensure their preservation and restoration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of architectural history and techniques, as well as experience in conducting surveys and identifying potential preservation issues.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys and research on historic buildings and structures in Faro
- Assess the condition of these buildings and identify potential preservation issues
- Develop strategies for preserving and restoring historic structures
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to develop preservation plans
- Ensure that all preservation work complies with local regulations and standards
- Document all findings and maintain accurate records of historic structures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation or restoration work
- Deep knowledge of architectural history, styles, and techniques
- Strong research skills
- Experience conducting surveys on historic structures
- Understanding of local building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various professionals
- Ability to produce detailed reports

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month.

Working Hours:
This is a full-time job with a standard 40-hour work week.

Location:
This position is located in Faro, Portugal. However, candidates from other nationalities are also encouraged to apply as long as they have their own visa.

Accommodation:
