Cashier in Faroe-Islands



We are a well-established retail store in Faroe-Islands seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for managing transactions with customers accurately and efficiently, while providing excellent customer service. This is a contract position with a competitive salary of 1800$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and reconcile cash register at the end of each shift
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate team members
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, exchanges, etc.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus
- Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately
- Familiarity with electronic equipment like cash registers, scanners, etc.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Preferred:
While not required, we prefer candidates who have the following qualifications:
- Prior experience working in retail or customer service industry
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
