Typesetter (Contract)


We are a reputable publishing company in Karachi seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our team on a contract basis. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for laying out text and images to create visually appealing and readable documents. This is an urgent job, so we are looking for someone who can start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:
- Use digital tools to format and arrange text, graphics, and images according to layout specifications
- Ensure consistent style, font, and spacing throughout document
- Proofread final layouts for accuracy and quality
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Make revisions based on feedback from clients or team members
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role in a publishing environment
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors in text and layout
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field
- Knowledge of typesetting best practices and typography principles
- Experience with typesetting for different languages
- Understanding of printing processes
