Sous Chef - Roskilde, Denmark
A renowned restaurant in Roskilde is seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional dishes to our guests. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and ambitious chef to further develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan menus, create new dishes, and maintain high quality standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared and presented according to recipe specifications
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Assist the Head Chef in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in English (Danish language proficiency is a plus)
- Must have valid work authorization in Denmark
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per week based on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth.
