Contract Librarian in Greenland


We are in search of a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Librarian to join our team in Greenland. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library materials, including books, periodicals, and digital resources
- Develop and implement library programs and events to engage the community
- Provide reference services to patrons, assisting with research inquiries and locating materials
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions, including checkouts and returns
- Ensure proper cataloging and classification of all materials in accordance with library standards
- Monitor budget allocations for the library and make recommendations for new acquisitions
- Collaborate with local schools and organizations to promote literacy and learning through the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of library systems, cataloging procedures, and reference resources
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with patrons of all ages
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this contract position. Accommodation will also be provided.
