Preservation Architect
A leading architectural firm in Jerusalem is seeking a talented and passionate Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while maintaining their historical integrity. This is an exciting opportunity for an Indian national with no English language requirement to start their career in architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits and surveys to assess the condition of historic structures
- Developing preservation plans and designs based on historical research and analysis
- Collaborating with engineers and contractors to ensure structural stability during restoration projects
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for restoration work
- Overseeing construction work to ensure adherence to preservation standards
- Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality control
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, including drawings, reports, and budgets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field from a reputable university
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, preservation principles, and techniques
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant software programs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience in preservation work is preferred but not required
