Preservation Architect for Historic Sites in Jerusalem


We are seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect with a passion for historic sites to join our team in Jerusalem. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and sites in the city, ensuring their longevity and cultural significance. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience and knowledge in architectural preservation to work on some of the world's most iconic landmarks.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and sites to determine their condition and preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and strategies for each site, taking into account historical significance, structural stability, and cultural value
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors to oversee preservation projects from start to finish
- Utilize traditional preservation techniques as well as modern technologies to restore and maintain buildings
- Conduct research on historical construction methods and materials used in each site to ensure authenticity of restoration work
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
- Liaise with local authorities, community groups, and stakeholders to gain necessary approvals for preservation work

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in architectural preservation work, preferably with historic sites or landmarks
- Extensive knowledge of traditional construction methods and materials used in historic buildings
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or Hebrew is highly desirable

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per month, along with benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.

Location:
This position is based in Jerusalem. While we welcome candidates from all nationalities, preference will be given to Pakistani nationals who are fluent in English.
