IT Manager


We are in search of a skilled and experienced IT Manager to join our team in Almada, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's information technology systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IT management, with a focus on implementing and maintaining efficient and secure systems.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and security of all computer systems, including hardware, software, networks, and data
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of our systems
- Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of software programs and applications
- Plan and coordinate upgrades and updates to hardware and software as needed
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data backup procedures are in place to protect against loss or damage
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the IT industry to suggest improvements for our systems
- Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, security protocols, data backup/recovery methods
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java or C++ is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Experience managing a team of IT professionals is preferred but not required
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure
- Must be able to work well independently as well as part of a team
Salary: $900 per month
Contract job with possibility for extension
