Collections Specialist


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Collections Specialist to join our team in Malindi. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts from our clients. This is a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability of our company.

Responsibilities:
- Contact clients via phone, email, and mail to collect outstanding payments
- Keep accurate records of all collections activities
- Review and analyze client payment history to determine appropriate collection actions
- Negotiate payment plans with delinquent clients
- Update and maintain customer information in the database
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any billing disputes or issues
- Follow up on delinquent accounts and escalate as needed
- Prepare and send collection letters and notices as required by law

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of collection laws, regulations, and procedures
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Swahili preferred

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1400 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Malindi but remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates.
