Data Mining Analyst

As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large sets of data to identify patterns and trends. You will use various software tools and techniques to extract, clean, and transform data in order to generate insights and inform business decisions. Your role will also involve developing and implementing data mining models and algorithms to support forecasting, predictive modeling, and other analytical needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough data mining activities using software tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS
- Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Develop predictive models and algorithms using machine learning techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and address key challenges through data analysis
- Communicate findings and insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders
- Monitor performance of data mining models and make necessary adjustments to improve accuracy

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in data mining or a related field
- Strong knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language (Python, R, or SAS)
- Experience with machine learning techniques (e.g. regression analysis, decision trees)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members
- Excellent analytical thinking skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills

Location: This position is based in Faro, Portugal.

Salary: The salary for this position starts at $1000 per month.

Working Hours: This is a full-time position with regular working hours.
