Data Mining Analyst


We are seeking a skilled Data Mining Analyst to join our team in Faro, Portugal on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data to identify patterns and trends. The ideal candidate will have experience in data mining and a strong understanding of statistical methods.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data mining strategies to extract relevant information from large datasets
- Design and maintain databases for storing and managing data
- Conduct thorough analysis of data using statistical tools and techniques
- Identify patterns and trends within the data that can provide valuable insights
- Create visualizations and reports to present findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs
- Continuously monitor and improve the quality of data being collected

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data mining or similar role
- Proficient in SQL and database management tools such as MySQL or Oracle
- Experience with statistical software such as R or SAS is preferred
- Working knowledge of programming languages like Python or Java is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
