Moderator for Online Community (Oslo, Norway)


As a Moderator for our online community in Oslo, Norway, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere for our users. Your responsibilities will include monitoring discussions and user-generated content, enforcing community guidelines, and resolving conflicts as they arise. You will also work closely with the community manager to develop and implement strategies for increasing user engagement and retention.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a passion for building online communities. The ideal candidate should have experience moderating online forums or social media platforms, as well as a thorough understanding of internet culture and trends. Fluency in Norwegian is required, as well as proficiency in English.

This is a part-time position with the potential for growth within the company. The salary is 1500$ per month without accommodation. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals regardless of gender.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor discussions and user-generated content to ensure compliance with community guidelines
- Respond to user inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
- Identify trends or issues within the community and report them to the community manager
- Enforce consequences for violations of community guidelines
- Work closely with the community manager to develop strategies for increasing user engagement and retention
- Collaborate with other moderators to maintain consistency across all platforms

Requirements:
- Previous experience moderating online forums or social media platforms
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple conversations at once
- In-depth knowledge of internet culture and trends
- Fluency in Norwegian is required; proficiency in English is preferred
