Part-Time Librarian in Copenhagen

As a part-time librarian in Copenhagen, you will be responsible for helping visitors find and access books and other resources, as well as assisting with various administrative tasks. This role requires excellent customer service skills and a passion for books and learning.

Responsibilities:
- Assist visitors in finding and accessing books, magazines, and other resources
- Answer reference questions and provide research assistance
- Organize and maintain library materials using the Dewey Decimal System
- Process new materials, including cataloging, labeling, and shelving
- Assist with library events such as book clubs, author visits, and storytime sessions
- Collect fines and fees for overdue or lost items
- Help with general administrative tasks such as data entry, inventory management, and creating displays

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Previous experience working in a library or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System and library organization methods
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using computers and basic office software programs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Working Hours & Salary:
This is a part-time position with flexible working hours. The salary for this role is 1000$ per month.

We are able to offer visa sponsorship for candidates who are not already authorized to work in Denmark.

Location:
This position is located at our library in Copenhagen. However, due to the current COVID-19 situation, some remote work may be required.
