As a part-time Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing our company's databases. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the security, performance, and availability of our databases by monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing them on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor database systems to ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with the databases and provide timely resolutions
- Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries and indexes
- Ensure data integrity by performing regular backups and implementing disaster recovery procedures
- Collaborate with developers to design database structures that meet the requirements of new projects
- Maintain database security by implementing access controls and data encryption techniques
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices in order to make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Experience with database design, data modeling, and performance tuning techniques
- Familiarity with data backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures
- Understanding of SQL queries and scripting languages (e.g. Python)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Salary:
The salary for this part-time position is 900$ per month.
