Network and Systems Administrator


We are hiring a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Svalbard. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's network infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation and security. You will also be responsible for maintaining server systems, installing and configuring software, troubleshooting network issues, and providing technical support to employees.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in network administration
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols
- Experience with server systems such as Windows Server and Linux
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and other networking devices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, etc.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Install and configure software on servers and workstations
- Perform routine maintenance on servers to ensure their optimal performance
- Provide technical support to employees regarding network connectivity or other IT-related issues
- Ensure network security by implementing proper protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies or upgrades
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes

Salary: $1500 per month (with accommodation included)
Location: Svalbard (own visa required)
